Then you may have caught up with you the latest and most exciting treatment to hit the beauti industry, providing a painless solution for eyebrows that don’t have symmetry or where the hairs follow a different pattern. Slightly different to a brow perm, a brow lamination involves straightening the brow hairs using a chemical solution.
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination involves straightening and lifting the hairs using a
chemical solution, which allows the hairs to have more flexibility to
move them into your desired shape, therefore covering any gaps or
stray areas.
After your natural brow hairs are straightened, a fixing solution is
applied to keep the hairs straight, as well as a tint if desired. The
result is fuller-looking brows that stay in place when brushed into
shape, lasting around six weeks.
Brow lamination aftercare
For the first 24 hours after your treatment, it’s important to keep
your brows completely dry, meaning no hot steamy showers, saunas or
exercise, and avoid touching them. After that, you sholud to keep the
area moisturised using an oil. I always recommend using castrol oil
for eyebrows (you can buy oil in the salon after treament), which
helps to grow new hair, so if you have gaps on your eyebrows, it can
fil up over time, and the eyebrows will get moisture they need after
the treatment.
Important advice:
We do not recommend using brow lamination if your client is pregnant
or breastfeeding. There are a number of reasons including elevated
sensitivity caused by hormones produced during pregnancy and
after/during breastfeeding. Elevated sensitivity can trigger reactions
and also inconsistent results. It would be best to avoid performing
this procedure on pregnant or nursing moms, ideally waiting a minimum
